Career Coaching:
Fortune 50 Beverage Manufacturer

This global company is a leader in its category and has one of the world’s best known brands.

Situation
In a companywide survey, employees said they wanted more help developing their careers and positioning themselves for the future. A group of high-potential, mid-to upper-level managers was selected to participate in a career coaching program to help them accelerate their professional and personal growth.

Solution
Schechter Consulting devised a career planning program that began with a one-day workshop for up to 10 participants at a time. Employees learned about the company’s career planning philosophy, completed personal assessments and discussed the results in small groups. After the workshop, Schechter coaches met with each person once a month for five months to talk about career aspirations, skills needed for current and future roles, how to manage more efficiently and how to achieve work/life balance.

Results
Out of 53 participants, five have been promoted and virtually all have clearer views of where they excel, what they can become and the paths to get there. The program has gotten rave reviews from participants as well as their managers.
